Ashima Goyal Siraj is the Regional Manager -- West, for iVolunteer.in, she had organised a wonderful event for our kids at ICICI Prudential.
After being part of the corporate world for nearly 5 years, Ashima's career took a completely differet turn when her small stints at volunteering led her to step into the development sector full time. Ashima has recently returned to India after completing her masters in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics.
She has a wonderful knack of connecting with people and is a very helpful person.
Thank you, Ashima! Dear Ashish and all the wonderful children!
We at iVolunteer want to thank you for the amazing energy and enthusiasm that the kids brought into the event organised in ICICI Prudential campus on 8th December 2010. Each and every child was multi talented and we enjoyed not only organising the event but also participating in it! All the volunteers loved the kids. Ashish, you and your team are doing great work with these children.. Wish you good luck and we hope we would work together again! |

Poonam Aunty first met us at the Innerwheel Club Meeting and has been supporting us regularly! She has given us many things, and most importantly she tells all her friends about us and helps us spread the word! Here is the inspiring testimonial she wrote for us!!
While most of the children in todays world are busy with all the 'wrong things', there still are a few dedicated souls who work to bring sunshine to the lives of those people whom we say 'that they are destined' to live in a dark and dingy world.
I happened to meet a good soul who works in an organisation called Adarshmay. Ashish Pawaskar is one such person who does his maximum bit to ease the lives of the less fortunate ones. He in fact helps us also to get rid of our 'hand me downs' and distributes them to the slums in and around their localities.
He has a dedicated team who go whenever & wherever they are called to collect clothes, utensils, old newspapers and just about anything that one wants to give away.
Who says that the Generation Next is hell bent on only enjoying? As long as good souls like Ashish and his team exist there is still hope for the less fortunate. May God give him energy and health to continue doing the good work. My prayers will always be with him and his kind.

Payal Shah Karwa is The Word Jockey providing professional writing and communication consultancy. She met us by chance and has been a staunch supporter ever since. She and her husband, Rahul Karwa, are now helping us write our communication material and polishing the ones we already have. We are indeed grateful for her support.
They have recently implemented the Donate-a-word campaign and it resulted in 50 kids, getting notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, crayons and colours.
Rahul and I are impressed by the dedication and beauty with which Ashish and his team run Adarshmay....it is indeed heartening to see people of such nobility who commit themselves to such a difficult task of educating, disciplining children of lesser privilege.
We thank Ashish for giving us an opportunity to be Friends of Adarshmay.
Comment on Facebook (on Donate-a-word):
Donated-A-Word and was left speechless :)
SMS after meeting our kids:
Hey we really really loved the kids and your setup. It is a wonderful thing you are doing. All the best and will do much more together.
On our working:
Really like the way this NGO operates. They come at your doorstep to collect any donation material you have for the needy - clothes, books, household stuff, newspapers.
